About
Hi, I'm Delia.
For a long time, I lived with constant anxiety attacks. They were debilitating, and they shaped far more of my life than I'd like to admit.
I spent years in talk therapy. It helped. It gave me new insights and real tools, and I'm grateful for it. But after a while I felt like I'd hit a limit. The same patterns kept resurfacing, no matter how well I understood them.
That changed when I found somatic therapy.
Top down, bottom up
Talk therapy works from the top down. You start with the story: your past, the narrative, the meaning. As you talk, the body remembers certain sensations and you begin to notice changes.
Somatic (body-based) work goes the other way, from the bottom up. You start with a felt sense of your body and its sensations. You let the body communicate what it needs to, and slowly, you begin to connect the dots.
For me, putting the two together has been a full-circle journey of self-discovery and healing.
Finding TRE™
My first TRE™ session was intense, and I've written about it honestly here. Since that first session, I haven't had another anxiety attack. That's my own experience, not a promise, and I think it has a lot to do with what I learned to do differently.
I now actively sense my body, and I can tell when it's about to overflow. I take care of my body before it has to take care of itself, which used to show up as anxiety and tremors I couldn't control.
That's what I hope to share with you: a way of returning to the body, gently, at your own pace.
Where I am now
I'm completing my TRE™ Global Provider Certification in Singapore, and I'm a TRE™ Provider in training. I lead both one-to-one and group sessions, in person and online.
